Paddywax

Our lives are composed of moments.

The sense of smell is strongly linked to memory & emotion. The smell of honeysuckle during summertime, wassail on the stove at a holiday gathering, or rain on the trails of your favorite park, there is something magically nostalgic about the power of fragrance and its connection to emotion and moments. In a world of busy, it is our hope that you will light a candle, slow down, and set the tone in your home.

Every product we make is designed and sourced with intentionality. We love the juxtaposition of mixed materials, from the textures and shapes of vessels to pairing unique fragrances together, there is something beautifully compelling in each of our creations.

With every design, we ensure that each vessel can be repurposed when the wax runs out. We have over 150 chandlers (aka candle makers) mixing, pouring, testing, and packaging our candles in our Nashville factory every day.

We pride ourselves on being the most versatile and functional candle brand in the market. We start with a story and build around it to create collections that add warmth and nostalgia to your home. We pair our vessels with complex and sophisticated fragrances that stick with you.

Paddywax uses a soy wax blend for the base of their candles and cotton wicks to ensure their consumers are receiving clean burning, nontoxic candle. Because of this, you can be assured that their candles will not release toxic chemicals for you to breathe in.

Each candle features our soy wax blend hand poured into an easily-repurposed vessel with cotton wicks.

Our candles are all made proudly in Nashville, Tennessee.

HOT TIP FROM US - HOW TO KEEP YOUR CANDLE BURNING CLEAN AND BRIGHT?

Keep wicks trimmed. A trimmed wick will give you a nice bright flame. A long or a crooked wick can result in uneven burning, which can lead to bursts of high flames or smoking. Wicks should be about 1/4 inch high for best burning; don’t trim them lower than that.

Untrimmed wicks can cause candle flames to take on a dull appearance, which affects the amount of light they give off. Trimming the wick allows the flame to have a clearer and brighter burn.

Keeping wicks shorter also means your candles will have a cleaner burn. Some candles create a black, sooty residue when you burn them. This can leave marks on ceilings or other nearby surfaces. If your candles are in jars, you’re likely to see unsightly black marks inside the glass near the top. Trimming wicks on a regular basis helps reduce the amount of residue candles produce while burning.
